Condolence: Christine and family. I was shocked to hear of Tony's sudden passing. We haven't crossed paths much since the Barnes house days, but I considered him a friend. Lots of memories have been going through my mind this last week! After recently becoming a Facebook friend of his, I feel like we have been catching up! Please accept my condolences. I will be praying for you.

Condolence From: Lindsey Peddle
Condolence: Christine, Evan, and Family- I'm deeply saddened to hear of Tony's sudden passing. I had the great pleasure of working with Tony over the past few years in Commercial Banking. Tony is one of the kindest people I have ever known. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was always up for a good laugh. I looked forward to our daily chats, emails, and visits. If we went a couple of days without talking he would always check in to make sure his "buddy"was doing okay. He was a true family man and spoke about Christine and Evan with such love and admiration. Our last call was a few days before he passed. I was leaving for vacation so I would miss his visit to St. John's for "his boys" convocation. We spoke for a long time about "his boy", I can honestly say a father has never been more proud of a son for his accomplishments. We also spoke about traveling and the time he spent in Venice with his cherished Christine. He gave me some great travel tips and wished me safe travels. I spent the day of his passing in Venice doing all the things he told me to do and telling my husband and friends all about Tony. Tony truly lived every single day to the fullest and was loved by all! Please accept my deepest sympathies and prayers during this difficult time.

Condolence From: Christine Clouston
Condolence: Evan, I read about the passing of your Father in today's Telegram, and I am still in shock. So sad, and such a huge and sudden unexpected loss. I worked with your Father many years ago, and enjoyed every call, email, and get-together. In recent years, I got to know you at MUN. I proudly watched you walk across the stage with your Bachelor of Commerce degree in hand. Your years at MUN have matured into a fine young man. I know your Father was extremely proud of you. So very sorry for your loss of a great Dad. A life taken too soon. Christine Clouston

Condolence From: Cathy and Jeff
Condolence: Christine, Evan, Patti, Gerri and families, So thankful to know Tony's zest for life, infectious smile, teasing sense of humour, sense of adventure, photography (Photos by Foote as Jeff says), love of music, quiet strong natural leadership and his unconditional sense of love and life. Like Barry said in his tribute, his circles in life were many and growing, always adding individuals in without ever subtracting. A fitting service indeed with the support of Rev. Steph, the music and Choir, Masons, friend Barry's tribute, readings by friends Brent and Chris, and Evan's message, carrying with strength like his father. Thinking of you all.

Condolence: So shocked to learn of this sad news. My condolences to Tony's family and all of his friends. I'm left with memories of a very kind fellow who from a young age when we sometimes played together was always accepting, kind, and friendly to others - even from the other side of the field :). My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Condolence From: Paul Hoskins
Condolence: I was shocked and saddened when I heard about Tony's sudden passing. I will remember Tony most as an original member of the Brochen Street gang. Tony grew up with a large group of friends who could count on him to be in the mix, whether it be to play with the street hockey team, go for day long bicycle adventures, or explore the local frog ponds. We had a great childhood. I have met with Tony only a few times over the years since moving away from Gander but each time seemed as though we still lived just a few houses apart. Please accept my deepest condolences for a true friend and a great citizen of Gander. Sincerely, Paul Hoskins

Condolence From: Tony Best
Condolence: Whilst I did not spend time with Tony and his family over the years, I did attend school from Kindergarten up and into university with him. Whenever I ran into him at a Gander Day he was always his friendly jovial self. He seemed to be always happy and so full of life. He was so proud of his son and his accomplishments. If the worth of a person is measured in what others say about them...Tony Foote, you were immeasurable. You have left an amazing legacy and some very big boots to fill. The lights of Gander are much dimmer without you. My sincerest condolences to both Christine and Evan, to the remainder of his family and to his many friends and colleagues. RIP

Condolence From: Perry Price
Condolence: Christine (Chris)and Evan. I've been a couple days "trying" desperately to find the right words to say to you both. Let me start by saying that I've not been able to get you both or Tony out of my mind since hearing this terrible news. I think of you both and the heartache you undoubtedly are feeling. I think of Tony, his warm smile, ability to have fun and his love for you both. I know he would want you to carry on his memory with his and your friends thinking of all the wonderful things he gave to the world and yourselves in his short time on this earth. Chris, Tony will remain in your heart and while it hurts now, having him there will guide you. Evan, you have your days infectious smile and demeanor. Always remember how very proud he was of you as he knew how proud you were to have him in your life. I am sorry that I can not be there to offer assistance or to attend Tony's funeral. My sincere condolences to all the family but especially to you both. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. Perry ( Pricey )

Condolence: I have lost one of my best friends with the passing of Tony. Ours was a friendship that transcended time. He was a good man and a good friend to a great many of us whose lives he touched with his kindness and humour. He was like a brother to me. It always gave me great comfort to know that even when we went on with our lives after University and whether or not we got to see each other for two months or two years we knew that when our paths crossed again we could just start up where we left off. I miss you buddy and I will carry a great sadness of your passing for a long time. But I take comfort in knowing that some day we will meet again...and carry on where we left off..as always. So set up the crib board or backgammon table and pour up a drink of rum for me and I will see you again my friend. It was my great honour and privilege to say that Tony Foote was my friend. Rest in Peace brother.

Condolence: Christine and Evan, words cannot express how shocked and saddened I was to hear of Tony's sudden passing. I had the great privilege and pleasure to have worked with Tony for 13 years at our Gander Branch. He was a very kind, gentle and fun loving person who gave his all to his profession, his community and most of all his family. Evan, like Stella and Mr Inkpen, one of my fondest memories of your Dad was when he brought you in to do a little skit for Mr. Inkpen's retirement. You guys were awesome! May the wonderful memories guide and comfort you and your family in the difficult days ahead. RIP

Condolence From: Michelle Yetman
Condolence: Christine & Evan, my thoughts are with you both during this difficult time. I had the pleasure of being Tony's colleague in Commercial Banking for many years - a lifetime in banking. Some of my happiest memories with Tony are of the last 7 years and our travels throughout Central Newfoundland with the "King of Central". No matter where we travelled Tony was received affectionately by all we encountered. He even brought me to his Rotary group often and we would enjoy a few laughs (sometimes at his expense!) A true professional and gentleman, it was evident that working relationships with Tony extended far beyond work to lasting friendships. Those many hours travelling gave us time to chat about all of his "loves" - Christine and Evan, the cabin, travelling and the next concerts we both wanted to check out! And I enjoyed his parenting tips as well! I count myself blessed to be his friend. When I saw Tony this past Friday he was the happiest I have ever seen him - and so proud of you Evan. He lived life well, and I am so sorry that we all didn't get more time with him. Love to you both.

Condolence: Christine, Evan, Patti and extended family. It's with a heavy heart I write this condolence. I was totally shocked to hear of Tony's passing. Although his life was way too short, he done his best to pack in as much as he could. Although cousins, Tony and Patti were like brother and sister to me and my siblings. On their, what seemed like weekly trips to Botwood to visit their Grandparents, it was quickly followed by a trip to or house. We shared in a lot of growing up together, memories I will cherish forever. Take care of one another, hang on to all the wonderful memories and be assured in the love that he had for you all.

Condolence: Christine, Evan and family I cannot but echo everyone else when I say it was a great shock to hear the news Sunday that Tony had passed away. I remember Tony as teenager growing up here in Gander and then when I and my family moved back here how it was such a pleasure to work with him at the bank on various business issues. I really came to appreciate his presence as part of our 'swimming' family as we went to swim meets and hosted our own. Tony was always so proud to do work for his family and the community of Gander. He was a great volunteer, citizen and in the end a friend to me. God bless John, Linda, Sarah and Nicole Kattenbusch

Condolence: I feel the warmth upon my face as I enter the land of God's good grace, Friends and loved ones gone before, waiting here beyond the door. With open arms they welcome me, amazement in my eyes they see. They look so well and at their best, beauty beholds them now they rest. The celestial sun does forever shine, it's a perfect temperature all the time. Orchards here overflow with fruit, a taste in itself that is quite exquisite. I'm told it will help my soul to restore, pick what I like, there is plenty more. This ethereal plain is a pure delight, it's my new home, my God given right. My sincerest and deepest condolences to Christine and Family.

Condolence From: Eric & Marilyn Boone
Condolence: Christine,Evan, Patti , Gerry & all families of Tony........we are so very saddened and in shock to hear of Tony's passing. A beautiful, kind and gentle soul full of a life well lived but not long enough. The Footes' & our family have been lifelong friends with lots of great childhood memories. With the passing of Ollie & Susie we always felt closer to Tony & Patti & although not related we always felt like we were. Wherever we saw Tony he had a hug and a great smile. Some of us will live a lot longer than Tony maybe but I'm not sure our life will be as fulfilled with the joy, excitement , and love for life and our families as Tony lived. Christine & Evan know all about love, devotion and appreciation as Tony had no problem showing or telling others of his love he found in both of them. Patti was also such a big part of Tony's life and she also felt his love I'm sure of that. Evan has always held a special place in my heart because he is such a great example of what Christine and Tony are about. So proud of the young man you've become Evan! You all just spent such a beautiful week together celebrating YOU Evan and it ended terribly but what a great way to remember your last memories too! Tony will be missed so much in Gander. He led a wonderful life but definitely too short, he loved his wife, " his boy" and his " little sister" ......Rest in Peace Tony, love you

Condolence: Christine and Evan, I like everyone else was shocked to hear the news of Tony's sudden passing. It's difficult to express in words my heartfelt sorrow for your loss. Tony always had a smile and a "BIG" hug every time I saw him and I will miss that. One of my fondest memories while working with Tony was the day he brought Evan to work all dressed up in a suit and sat him up to his desk and Mr Inkpen came in and addressed him as Tony and Evan played right along, he was a Minnie Me and Tony''s chest puffed out a little every time he spoke of him,. He was so proud of all of his accomplishments from school, swimming, music and his latest to graduate Memorial University. May the love you shared and the memories you have support you and bring you comfort in the days to come. RIP Tony๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Condolence: We are all so shocked and deeply saddened at the sudden passing of my second cousin Tony. As a child, I remember the excitement of going to Gander to visit Tony, Patty, and their parents...always a guaranteed fun time! When I was in the military I was fortunate to be posted to Gander where I was able to re-connect with Tony, Patty, Ollie and Gerry. Again, always a pleasure to spend a bit of time with them. These are memories I will always cherish. Over the past few years I followed Tony on social media and I couldn't help but notice how much he really enjoyed life...whether it was a trip to the cabin, an outing on the ski-doo, or an excursion up here to Ontario to catch a Blue Jays game followed by a trip to a sunny destination...he along with Christine and Evan embraced it all. Above all that, what resonated the most to me was his profound love for his family...all of his family. He often would share that love on his social media for all to see and appreciate. He was by far a great example of what it means to be a family man. In my mind his legacy will be that love which he was so proud to share. My thoughts and prayers are with Christine, Evan, Patty, and Gerry. Rest in peace, Tony.

Condolence: Christine and Evan...........so very very sorry for your loss of Tony. He was as reliable as a clock, as kind as could be and an absolutely great person. His work for Rotary was monumental as Our President, as Chair of most of our 'Roasts" and as a very reliable member. He has left a huge gap in our Club and will be fondly remembered and missed by all. Cherish all those magic moments and memories when you were all together as a Family. RIP brother............
