Condolence From: Millie and Mike
Condolence: Aunt Mildred--my namesake--Stan & Lorraine and Lily & Tom and families, our deepest sympathy on the passing of Uncle Claude. What a sad day it is today. He was so full of life and energy, it's hard to think of him gone. He gave me my first job--a very special summer at Square Pond where I saw first hand how hard he worked to make everyone feel special. That hard work and interest in other people was how he lived. I didn't see him often after high school but every time I came back to Gander, the deck of cards was out and the games began..and of course, the food. In fact, he was the person to show me how to play crib when I was about five years old. When my Mom died suddenly a few years ago I shall never forget his kindness and organizational ability in helping to make funeral arrangements. He kept us focused to do what had to be done. His loss has left a hole in my heart. I pray for your comfort Aunt Mildred at this difficult time. Be strong. With much love, Millie & Mike

Condolence From: Jeff Gover
Condolence: I spent many of those weekends with Mom,Dad (Mim and Clar) Uncle Jim, Aunt Vernie, Aunt Mildred and Uncle Claude playing 500s;with the hard knocks on the dining room table and the yelps of "30for60 and slam and picker". Also countless weekends of cod jigging, catching fatties for Uncle Jake, playing darts and cribbage out in the gut with Dad and Uncle Claude. Good memories and great times that I really miss. There was a bear incident at the gut one time trying to get through the roof where I was sleeping. They shot the gun off to scare the bear and I slept through it all. RIP Uncle Claude.
