It is with loving thoughts and memories, that we the family of the late Newman W. Wheaton announce his passing at Lakeside Homes, Gander on Friday September 22, 2017. He was born on March 29, 1937 to his parents Oswald & Elsie Wheaton. On August 9, 1960 he married the love of his life Yvonne, together they raised 5 children and enjoyed 57 years of marriage, although the last 2 years were very difficult they loved each other very much. Newman was predeceased by his parents Oswald & Elsie Wheaton; sister Ida Whitt and brother Barry Wheaton, brothers-in-law: Cliff Rideout and Anthony Careen. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories and will be greatly missed by his wife Yvonne; son Matthew (Kerry) of Gander, NL., daughters: Dale (Keith Howell) of Carmanville, NL., Marina (Victor Ings) of Virgin Arm, NL., Lori (Douglas Mullett) of Gander, NL., Marsha (Mark Mullett) of Moncton, NB.; grandchildren: Travis, Josh, Kyle, Abigail, Alexander, Paige, Charlotte; brothers: Ellis of Fredericton, NL., Jim (Patsy) of Harris Point, NL., Gordon (Mavis) of Dauphin, MB.; sisters: Pauline (Bob Sander) of Stony Plain, AB., Iris (David Highsted) of Carmanville, NL., Gwen Rideout of Still Water Lane, NS., Yvonne Careen of Torbay, NL., also many other extended relatives and friends. The family will be receiving friends at the Bethel Pentecostal Church, Carmanville on Sunday September 24, 2017 between the hours of 2-8 p.m. and on Monday September 25, 2017 from 10 a.m. to noon from where the funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. officiated by Pastor R. Durdle with interment to take place at the Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Fredericton. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted.
