Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital on November 23 Eric Francis Bown, aged 92, of Change Islands. Predeceased by his wife Marion Mae (2002), brother Howard (1986) and sister Eva (1982), parents Rosanna (1978) and Abel (1932).
Left to mourn his loss are his son Wallace (Linda), daughters Daphne (Fred) Powell, Netta (Bram) Troake, Doris (Wallace) Hoffe, and son Sterling (Christine). Also, grandchildren Cindy, Jamie, Peggy, Jennifer, Heather, Julie, Sheldon, Sharon, Sheena, and Noah. "Big Pop" was also blessed with thirteen great-grandchildren, and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Resting at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander on Saturday, November 25th from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Sunday, November 26th from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. also from 11:00 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Monday, Change Islands. Funeral service, Monday, November 27th at 2:00 P.M. from the Salvation Army Citidel, Change Islands. Interment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery.
A special thank you to Dr. Casey, his care-givers, and the medical staff at JPMH who provided exceptional care in his latter days.
