HORSFALL, Dennis Arthur - of Lantz, passed peacefully away in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro on January 8, 2018 in his 75th year.
Dennis was born in 1943 in Nicosia, Cyprus to Eric Horsfall and Georghoulla Demertzi. At the age of three, he and his parents moved to England.
In 1958 Dennis joined the Royal Air Force and served in various locations before his posting in Goose Bay, Labrador. Upon completion of service in Goose Bay, Dennis immigrated to Canada and shortly thereafter began working with Eastern Provincial Airlines. He retired from his airline career as Reservations Manager with Canadian Airlines in 1995. He then embarked on several part time jobs, including working on fire tower watch with Natural Resources and, as he put it, when not looking for forest fires, he loved to say he was “watching trees grow!”.
Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Carol (Hewitt); daughters, Jill (Reg) Batson, Penny (Jay) Carter, Jennifer (Michael) Godsell; grandchildren, Joshua and Shae Batson, and William Godsell, his new grandson of just four weeks, who we believe Dennis was waiting to meet.
