Joseph (Joe) Harold
December 18, 1937 – February 27, 2018

Our hearts are shattered as we announce the passing of our dear Husband, Father and Grandfather. Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on February 27, 2018, after a brief illness at the age of 80. Left with fond and adoring memories and to miss him forever; the love of his life and best friend for almost 57 years: his wife Doris (nee Lane); his daughters whom he loved dearly: Melita (Paul), Michelle, Marlene (Dwayne); his grandchildren whom he cherished: Megan (Tommy), Alison (Adam), Joey (Megan), Nicholas , Rebecca; sisters-in-law: Doris Boland (John, deceased), Lorraine Holloway (Eric, deceased), Bernice Frye (Max, deceased); also many nieces, nephews, a very large circle of family and friends including his McDonald’s coffee buddies and his card buddies. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur & Sophie (nee Norris) Boland; brother John and parents in law: Horace and Daisy Lane. In keeping with Joe’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will be receiving friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home, 60 Roe Avenue, Gander on Thursday March 1, 2018 and Friday March 2, 2018 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place from the St. Martins Anglican Cathedral, Gander on Saturday March 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Reverend Brian Candow with interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
