Paul Tompkins
Ann Clair, Lisa and Scott - sorry for the delayed posting but I was away and Mom just told me the sad news today. I will tell you one thing which I am sure you already know - just the mention of your mother's name brings a smile to my face. And I am certain to many others. Not many people can make that claim of providing true happiness to others. Such a genuine person.
I remember back in the early 1970's she would saunter up to our house on any given morning in the summer and of course park her car up a quarter way on our lawn for dramatic effect. And then step out in her housecoat and her slippers and ever present cup of Maxwell House coffee and proceed into the house like she owned the town. There was a TV show on back then called "Maude" and your mother was a striking resemblance to her. We used to nickname her "Mrs. Maude". We all used to love her visits as she was a genuinely funny person who made you laugh no matter what the circumstances. "Bett" was a true classic no doubt about that.
Please accept our condolences at this sad time but always remember to be happy for the many wonderful years you had with her.
