Dannie Maxwell Smith
August 11, 1954 - April 3, 2018
Surrounded by family he passed away peacefully at The James Paton Memorial Health Centre in Gander on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2018 at the age of 63.
He was predeceased by his father Alex Maxwell Smith. Left to mourn are his loving wife Gloria, daughters Crystal, Carolyn (Robert) and son Allan (Amanda). His loving mother Carrie, sister Donna (Clarence) and brothers David (Nina), and Douglas as well as a large circle of family and friends.
Dannie was born and raised in Gander. He met his wife of 43 years Gloria in 1974, they married in 1975 and raised three children. Although he had no grandchildren he did have grand-pups Bailey, Madix, Buddy and Shadow as well as his precious cat JoJo whom he adored.
Like his mother and late father, Dannie and Gloria enjoyed watching The Young and The Restless each day. He also loved to watch sports, especially hockey to see his beloved Boston Bruins play. He was a loving husband, father and pet owner. He loved nothing more than playing with his cat JoJo and he so enjoyed when Gloria entered a room and caught her doing something she shouldn’t – Oh, how he laughed!
He will truly be missed but not forgotten.
Cremation has taken place
Funeral service Monday, April 9th , 11:00 am at Fraser Road United Church, Gander.
