Was so saddened today to hear of your Mom's passing. What a wonderful lady.She was so welcoming and kind when we moved home for 2 years from B.C. when Julie was little, and attended her Preschool. She and Rhonda had Julie sing solo in the Year end concert as well as go on CBC radio, where she sang... what a treat for her.Through the years she would inquire with mom about Julie and would love to see pictures and hear what she was up to. What a Special Teacher! Julie sang for the kids on the Radio Station here in Calgary just the other day and I couldn't help but think of Mrs. Locke. She will be forever remembered and missed. We are so saddened to hear of your mother's passing. The loss of a mother is never easy. Our parents were great friends with your parents for years. Many of our childhood memories, especially Boxing Day, bring joy and smiles to our faces. Your father sat in the same chair every time he came to the house. Your mother would just sit and laugh at the stories. She was a big comfort to me when as a young child I lost my father. That, I will never forget about her. Your Mom's wonderful and gentle soul will forever remain in our hearts. May she rest in peace with Ron.

Derek, Sorry we could be there for you and your family this week. The Lannons remember your Mom with love and admiration. I will always remember fondly her warm and welcoming smile. She was a great lady, a life well lived. She was also so very proud of you all. PS: I hope she and Vera are able to share and smile down on us.
