King – Gladys Beatrice of Victoria Cove
February 7th, 2016 – Gladys Beatrice King (nee Oake) in her 72nd year , passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, after a valiant fight with cancer. Predeceased by her dear husband Marshall, grandson Nicholas, brother’s Stan, Eddie, Brett and Ross and her parent’s Leslie and Frederica Oake.
Left with many cherished and loving memories are her children Paula (Allan) Lafleur and Paul (Nic) King; grandchildren Damien, Marshall, Michael and Kaitlyn; sisters Naomi (Jerry) Parsons, Linda (Scott) Gillingham and Irene (Addison) Bown; brother-in-law Gordon King (Ivy) and sister- in- laws Hilda, Evelyn, Gertie and Sue; and her many nieces and nephews.
Gladys was an active member of her church parish taking part in various committees but it was her 50 plus years of being an organist to many congregations within the parish that endeared her to so many. She met many wonderful friends over the years and will be sorely missed.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Wednesday February 10th at Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Funeral service Thursday February 11th. Timings will be announced when confirmed. www.staceysfuneralhome.ca where online condolences and memories can also be viewed and added.
