Condolence: On behalf of Howard and Phyllis Saunders, we would like to express our condolences in the passing of Hazel Newhook. We had many memorable moments in Gander and St. John's. Howard had the privilege of working alongside Hazel in the 70's during her time as Mayor of Gander. In later years, we also met Hazel on numerous occasions in Eastport at the Arts Centre. She was a very strong and patient individual how demonstrated outstanding leadership in her community.
