Obituary for Donna Louise Olstad

t is with great sadness that heaven has gained another angel. Donna Louise Olstad, formally of Pasadena, announces her passing at the James Paton Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, December 19th, 2017, at the age of 41 years, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Donna was a wonderful mom, wife, sister, cousin and friend. A very selfless person

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories the pride and joy of her life, her daughter, Autumn, and her loving husband Russell. She also leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her brother, John, sister-in-law Jennifer, niece Maegan and nephew Nicholas Currie (Kingston, Nova Scotia) and sister Amanda, brother-in-law Fiore, niece Evelyn and nephew Antonino Calarco (Ottawa, Ontario), special cousin Danielle Spence (Deer Lake, Newfoundland), mother and father-in-law Brenda (Clarence) Young, Nicole and Ryan Kimmel and their children Avery and Layla (Edmonton, Alberta) and brother-in-law Wesley Olstad (Red Deer, Alberta). She also has various aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that are going to miss her terribly. Donna was predeceased by her parents Donald and Doreen Currie (nee Hayden), and father-in-law Ted Olstad.

The family will be receiving family and friends at parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, on Thursday, December 21st, 2017 from the hours of 7-9 pm. The Funeral will take place on Friday, December 22nd, 2017, at 10: am from St. Paul’s United Church on Spruce Street, Deer Lake, NL, with Rev Dr Tony Newell officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the United Church Cemetery in Pasadena, NL.

In lieu of flowers donations are gratefully accepted to the Cancer awareness charity of one’s choice

There will be a greeting at Stacey’s Funeral Home in Gander on December 29th, 2017, from 7-9 pm for friends in the Gander and area.

A special thank you to all staff at St. John’s Hospital, Gander Hospital and Corner Brook, Hospital.
