Phillip "Phil" Joseph Dooley
DOOLEY
Phillip “Phil” Joseph
April 29, 1953 – February 7, 2018

Passed away after a short illness at the James Paton Memorial Hospital two months shy of his 65th birthday, Phillip “Phil” Dooley. Phil leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his devoted mother Mary E., his father Gerald at Lakeside Homes; brothers Barry of Port Hardy, BC., Donald of St. John’s, NL., Danny & Ron both of Gander, NL.; sister Ruby (Eric) of Enfield, NS., also a large extended circle of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends. Phil was devoted to his mom and dad. He visited his father every day at Lakeside Homes without fail. Phil, a fixture around this airport town will be known and remembered for riding on his Honda Goldwing, Phil was a regular at many businesses and was a common sight around town with his brother Danny. He attended many community events and often did odd jobs like mowing lawns, shoveling snow and had a flair for fixing things, especially electronics for many residents of Gander. Phil was a huge animal lover and his lover for the furry friends will always be remembered. He knew a large number of people and his loss is being felt throughout the community. Family will be receiving friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home, 60 Roe Avenue on Friday February 9, 2018 from 6:30-9 p.m. A celebration of Phil’s life will take place on Saturday February 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, Gander with interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy no flowers by request, but donations may be made to and accepted by the Dooley family.
