Condolence From: Jonathan Drummond
Condolence: Glen, Blanche, Sherry and Brittany I was deeply saddened to hear about Althea. The connections I had with her weren't many and they never long, more often than not they were just 5-10 minutes, once a year. But I will cherish each phone call and discussion from the first, when she was simply humouring a little boy who was excited to know that someone else shared his birthday, to all those calls that followed as I went to university, started a career and then a family. I was always surprised how much she remembered from that one call each year. She could lead the conversation, remembering names and things I had been doing, it was obvious that she truly listened. It was a great and unique friendship that that I sincerely appreciated and one that I will truly miss.
Getting back to the calls, whenever I asked her about how things were, she may mention a little about herself but the conversation would quickly turn into her speaking of all of you. It goes without saying how much she loved you all and how important you were to her.
With that, I wish you all fond memories and strength over the coming days. Please take care and know that she will be missed and rest assured that you won't be the only one thinking of her each November 3rd.

Condolence: Pea soup on Saturday,costumes for the boys for Halloween and Christmas Eve suppers are some of the fond memories we have of Althea.Glen,Blanche and Sherry we were saddened and heartbroken when we learned of Althea's passing.We are in Calgary and won't get home for the funeral.Our thoughts are with you at this difficut time. I have very fond memories of Auntie . I can still remember walking in to her kitchen as a child and watching with delight as she made some special sweet treat in her fancy mixer!
