Passed peacefully away at her residence in Gander on Thursday December 6, 2018 at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband Cyril; daughter Susan; parents Herbert & Maude (Purchase) Toms; brother Lloyd and sister Gladys. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Paul of Corner Brook, Peter (Susan) of Gander, Gary (Margo) of St. Johns; daughter Carol Ann (Nick) Connolly of Gander; Son-in-law Allan Bowness; grandchildren: Nicole (Darshan) Bhatia, Brian (Carla) Connolly, Vicki (Geoff) Rowland, Gregory (Tracey) Bowness, Colin & Aidan Edison; great grandchildren: Holly, Ryan, Liam, Emily, Sophie: brothers: Ray (Jenny), Don and Jim; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In keeping with Eleanor’s wishes cremation has taken place with a celebration of her life being held at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander on Sunday December 9, 2018 from 1:30 - 4 p.m. Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eleanor’s memory may be made to the Gander & Area Food Bank or The Salvation Army Youth & Family Services.
