Rose was born in Horwood, to Stanley and Annie Simmons on November 2nd, 1938. During her early years where she finally found time to work outside the family, she helped other people keep their homes clean and was a homecare worker before the term was invented. She didn’t really find time to enjoy life until she joined the WI and volunteered at the Salvation Army Thrift Store – Her passion. Her family remembers best her strong morale values and her desire to point her family to church.
