Obituary for Rose Wilhelmina Watkins

Passed away suddenly at her residence in Glenwood, On Monday, December 23rd, 2019, Rose Wilhelmina Watkins, age 81.
Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Annie Simmons.
Left to mourn with loving memories are her husband Gerald, sons Nelson (Lorraine) of Saint John, NB; Grant (Mary) of Gander, Wally (Dawn) of Carbonear, daughters Carolyn (Eugene Clarke) of Glenwood, Joyce of Glenwood, sister Joan Kelly of St. John’s, grandchildren Matthew, Timothy (Cecilia), Rebekah (Nathan), David (Lori), Joshua (Amber), Alex, great-grandchildren Sequoia, Kestrel, Emma, Grayson, Lucas, Oliver and a large circle of family and friends.
Resting at the Anglican Church, Glenwood on Thursday, December 26th from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. and Friday, December 27th from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Glenwood.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose’s memory may be made to The Janeway Children’s Hospital or the Glenwood Fire Department.
Rose was born in Horwood, to Stanley and Annie Simmons on November 2nd, 1938. During her early years where she finally found time to work outside the family, she helped other people keep their homes clean and was a homecare worker before the term was invented. She didn’t really find time to enjoy life until she joined the WI and volunteered at the Salvation Army Thrift Store – Her passion. Her family remembers best her strong morale values and her desire to point her family to church.
