Obituary for Florence Barrett
Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Thursday, February 6th, 2020, Florence Barrett at the age of 91 years.
She was predeceased by her parents Ken and Rebecca; husband Hubert (Pee-Wee ); daughters Carol and Judy; son-in-law Lewis; daughter-in-law Yvonne; and sisters Belle, Leonie, Marjorie, Nellie, Mary and brother Gordon.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children Kevin (Donna), Ken (Rhoda) and Beverly (Wilbert); sister Winnie; brothers Hubert (Leona) , Ken (Bev) and Mac( Tiffany), grandchildren Amy (Christopher), Crystal (Bryan), Justin (Stephanie), Bradley (Sharon), Christopher (Sarah), Adam, Kimberly (Michael), Beverly (Todd) and Derek (Shelby); great-grandchildren Nash, Lincoln, Madeline, Mason, Toren, Adicus, Keegan, Rebecca, Connor, Mackenzie, Matthew, Ryan, Taylor, Alyssa, Katie, Bobby, Daniel, and a large circle of extended family, and friends.
Florence had a love for knitting and crocheting and a desire to share her work with those around her. We will always remember her for her caring and giving nature that she portrayed throughout her life. In keeping with Florence’s wishes, a viewing will take place at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander on Saturday, Febraury 8th from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. and Sunday, February 9th from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 11th at 2:00 P.M. from St. Martin’s Anglican Cathedral. Interment will follow at the Commonwealth Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted; and donations in Florences memory can be made to the Central Northeast Health Foundation, or the Gander SPCA.
