Obituary for Beverley Ann Pritchett

On Wednesday, March11, 2020, Beverley Ann Pritchett, loving wife to Gary and mother of Bob and Mark died suddenly at home in Glenwood at the age of 72.

Bev was born on December 15, 1947 in Fredericton, NB to Duncan and Mabel Nichols. In 1960, the family moved to Glenwood where Bev and Gary met. They married in 1968 in Labrador City. Bev enjoyed life in Labrador, especially time spent at their cabin. She had a large circle of friends but her greatest joy was found in raising her two boys and then later being very engaged in the daily life of her grandsons, Devyn and Jacob. Upon retirement from the federal government, Bev welcomed more time to spend in the woods, quilt, and enjoy regular game nights with her friends. She was overjoyed with the arrival of 4 more grandchildren and took many trips to Ontario to spend precious time with Ryan, Hayden, Emma Grace and Luke. She felt even more blessed when Maggie, Abbey and Grace became her grandchildren too.

In retirement, Bev and Gary moved back to Glenwood. They were so happy to be back in their familiar hometown, reconnecting with childhood friends and making new ones. Gary was her first and only love and she ensured that he had his favourite chocolate cake with coffee icing regularly. Bev was a person of faith and a devoted daughter and daughter-in-law. Bev loved her little house, loved the town and the people of Glenwood. She was active in the community, took piano lessons, baked something every day, never missed sending a card to each and every family member and friend on special days, doted on her furry baby, Suzy, and absolutely loved her life!

Bev was predeceased by her parents, Duncan and Mabel Nichols; her parents-in -law, Fred and Bonnie Pritchett, and brother-in-law Lloyd Spencer.

She leaves to mourn, with fond and many happy memories, her husband Gary; her sons Bob (Lesley) and Mark (Brittany); grandchildren Devyn, Jacob, Ryan, Hayden, Emma Grace, Luke, Maggie, Abbey and Grace; brothers Doug (Ina) and John (Joy); sisters Barb (Terry) and Shelley(Steve); “sisters” Judy (Eli) and Kate Spencer; many nephews and nieces and cousins and a large circle of very good friends.

Visitation with be on Sunday at the Anglican Church in Glenwood from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Monday , March 16 at 2:00.

In lieu of flowers, Bev requested donations be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital.

“Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day...

unseen, unheard, but always near, STILL LOVED, still missed and very dear.”
