Nicky was loved by everyone she met. She met her husband at Tim’s in 2012, married at Thomas Howe June 21, 2013, and had three privileges - our heritage from the Lord. Whoever got to know her, even in passing by, knew they met a diamond in the rough. I - her husband - Garrett always let her know she was so rare and so special that she was a diamond in the rough. Never called her my wife always my bride! Her smile could melt a heart of stone. Nicky was the glue for everyone. She honored her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and then her family. We both are people of faith with family values. A verse that describes her quite well throughout her life is:

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NIV)

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Left to mourn and remember her life are her family Garrett Langdon (husband), Elvis Langdon (son), Klairissa Langdon (daughter), Zacchaeus Langdon (son), Peter Hunt (dad), Pauline Hunt (mom), Joanne Parsons (sister), Travis Hunt (brother), Brian Hunt (brother), Andrew Parsons (brother-in-law) Derek Langdon (father-in-law), Lorranda Langdon (mother-in-law), Gavin Langdon (brothers-in-law), Feleica Langdon (sisters-in-law) nephews Eugene, Blake, Wesley and Brady. And many many other family & friends.

Predeceased by Grandparents Richard and Mary Pickett, Samuel and Mary Jane Hunt, Aunt Geraldine, Uncle Jim(James), Uncle Ken(Kenneth), Uncle Dan, Brian Richard Hunt(brother), Eric Parsons(nephew) and Garrett’s Grandparents Stewart Lander, Clayton and Grace Langdon, Aunt Iona and Johnny Glover, Aunt Donna Blake, and Grant Langdon (brother-in-law).

Garrett and Nicky were each other’s answer to a Godly spouse and they got much more.

Proverbs 31

The Woman Who Fears the Lord

An excellent wife who can find?
She is far more precious than jewels.

The heart of her husband trusts in her
and he will have no lack of gain.

She does him good, and not harm,
all the days of her life.

She dresses herself[e] with strength
and makes her arms strong.

She opens her hand to the poor
and reaches out her hands to the needy.

She is not afraid of snow for her household,
for all her household are clothed in scarlet.[f]

She makes bed coverings for herself;
her clothing is fine linen and purple.

Strength and dignity are her clothing,
and she laughs at the time to come.

She opens her mouth with wisdom,
and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.

She looks well to the ways of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.

Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:

“Many women have done excellently,
but you surpass them all.”

Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

Give her of the fruit of her hands,
and let her works praise her in the gates.

Psalm 116:15 King James Version (KJV)

15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

Almost 7 years ... 70 years still wouldn’t be enough time going through time with your best friend. Everyday was like an unwrapped present with Nicky Love - who loved Jesus with all her heart and then loved me. Our marriage prayer was to love God more then each other so we could love each other more. I married my best friend and we gave each other a lot of love. We had our happily ever after. Together we started to grow our family and was going to continue to do so. June 21, 2020 was going to be 7 years married. We were each other’s answer to prayer and I’ve truly believed I didn’t deserve such a selfless person and told her so. Why should I be so happy? But we both got what and who we wanted and more. I will love her until I go home with the Lord. Now she has finally met Clayton and Grace who really were the cornerstone of my faith. Words don’t express how hard it is and how half of me has gone. But I have an anchor in Christ alone who’ll give our children and me the strength we don’t have on my own.

We seen this (below) and wanted to save it for our Children but now is also a time to share for someone that needs to hear it.

Strive for intimacy in your marriage - August 27

“Marry a believer and have the blessing of the Master.” 1 Corinthians 7:39 MSG

August 27, 2019 •

UCB wft

The Bible teaches us that the basis for a good marriage isn’t just sharing the same bed every night but the same values and goals every day. Without those, it will be like talking to each other in a foreign language. Now, you won’t always agree, and you must accept that. But if you want to reach the same destination, you’ve got to follow the same road map. Like building a house, you need to work from an agreed-upon set of blueprints. After a while, you discover that physical intimacy alone isn’t enough. That might get you through the night, but it takes genuine friendship and shared faith in God to get you through the years. We’re talking about husbands and wives who communicate without saying a word because the same purposes and principles govern their lives. And when problems arise, as they invariably do, they seek solutions from the same source—God. When life fell apart for Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, they came before God together because they had both had a relationship with Him. After all, how can you correct the problem if one of you doesn’t think there is a problem? True intimacy comes when the sex is over and the commitment is stronger than ever. It allows you to be with someone without always needing to impress them. One author puts it like this: “When we know we’re loved because of who we are, we become healthier in mind and more intimate in expression. We’re freed from the fear of rejection and loosed from the anxiety of having to perform.”

Garrett and family,
So sorry to hear of Nicole’s passing - a young life cut short too soon. I met Nicole when she worked for me at Compassion Home Care. She was a very loving and caring PCA and she was loved by all of the clients that she cared for. My heart breaks for her three children who will not have their mom around for all those ‘special occasions’ . Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
