Isabella (Beatrice) Harris
July 3rd, 1937 – April 6th, 2020
Passed peacefully away at home surrounded by her family on April 6th, 2020. She was 82 years of age.
Beatrice is predeceased by her parents James and Minnie Newhook, brother William Newhook and sister Joanne Cooper.
She will be deeply missed by many, especially her family. Her husband of 64 years, Edward Harris, sons Jerry Harris, Monty Harris and Derrick Harris (Carmel), daughters Sheila Dollimont (Junior), Beverly Randell (Joe), Debbie Collis (Aubrey), Diane Gillingham (Dean), 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are her brothers Douglas Newhook and Edward Newhook, sisters Elizabeth Newhook, Eileen Reid, Iris Higdon and Silvia Rowe, relatives and friends.
Beatrice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. She had a loving heart and helped whoever she could, however she could, whether a place to stay or a meal to eat. One of her favorite things to do in life was to the cabin and sing songs and dance with family and friends. On Sunday she would cook our favorite meal (the pot) for us all to enjoy.
She touched a lot of people’s hearts in her lifetime. She was an exceptional, kind hearted, loving woman whom will be remembered and missed by all.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date due to the Corona Virus.
Donations in Mrs. Harris's memory may be made to the Kids Eat Smart Program.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, he put his arms around you and whispered come to me. He didn’t like what you went through and he gave you a rest. His garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. And when we saw you sleeping, so peaceful and free from pain, we wouldn’t wish you back to suffer that again. Today we say Goodbye and as you take your final rest, that garden must be beautiful because you are one of the best.
