Edwin Collis, 84 of Glenwood, NL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 14, 2020. Edwin was born to parents Ernest & Mary Ann Collis in the community of Rencontre East, Fortune Bay.
After receiving his grade 11, he went on to spend his working career with Terra Nova & Newtel in various communities in Newfoundland, finally settling down in Glenwood. He loved hunting and fishing in his younger years.
Edwin was predeceased by his wife Amelia Collis (nee Rumbolt) along with his siblings: Bill Collis, Ernie Collis, Jack Collis, Aletha Langevan, Masie Hardy and Emily Way.
He will be sadly missed by his family and leaves to mourn his sons: Kevin Collis (Linda), Wayne Collis, Bob Collis (Lynda) of Ontario, Jack (Colleen) Collis of Glenwood; grandchildren: Aaron, Jordan, Dillon, Brandon, Jasmine, Zack, Ryan, Ashley; three great grandchildren: Peyton, Gabriel and Raelynn.
We cannot imagine Edwin’s life without family and friends during this sad time, but due to the current restrictions with the ongoing Global Pandemic a memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edwin’s memory may be made to the St. Andrews Anglican Church, Glenwood.
