It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Irene Margaret Stares announce her passing. Passed peacefully away at her sisters home in Ragged Harbour. Pre-deceased by her husband Henry, son Alphonso, parents Samuel and Hazel Holloway, sister Maisie Brenton, niece Kristy Mouland, granddaughter Mollie Stares, daughter-in-law Sharon Stares and great-great granddaughter Jacinta Spence.
Left to mourn her loss are daughter May (Perry) Hunt of Dover, son Anthony Stares (Betty) of Musgrave Harbour, daughter Donna (Ron) Hunt of Little Britain ON, special grandson Evan Stares (Fiona) of Benton, sisters Glenys (Willie) Mouland of Ragged Harbour, Ollie (Irving) Mouland of Ragged Harbour, Mary (Calvin) Efford of Port Blandford, brother Jack Holloway (Hannah) of Dover, special nanny to Joanne and Andrea Efford, grandchildren Rosetta, Henry, Perry, Amanda, April, Patti & Ronnie, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and a large circle of extended relatives and friends.
Resting at Stacey's Funeral Home with visitations Thursday, September 24th 1:00 -4:30 pm. Funeral service Friday September 25th at the Pentecostal church, Gander. Interment Salvation Army Cemetery, Benton.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions the funeral service will be limited.
