Obituary for Nellie Downer
Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre on Monday, October 5th, Nellie Downer, age 85.
Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Alice Peckford, husband Peter, brothers and sisters.
Left to mourn with loving memories are her sons Cyril (Jocelyn) of Davidsville, Gordon (Susie), Hubert, Norman, Nelson (Trudy) all of Clarke’s Head, daughters Doreen (Albert) of Roger’s Cove, Shirley (Maxwell-deceased) of Gander Bay South, Lenora (Roderick) of Fort McMurray, AB; 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends.
Resting at Stacey’s Funeral Home on Thursday, October 8th from 2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. Funeral service will take place at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Wing’s Point on Friday, October 9th at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Clarke’s Head. Due to Covid 19 restrictions the funeral service will be limited.
