Ivy was born in Ming’s Bight on April 15, 1940. She left home at the tender age of 16 and went to the work at the Notre Dame Bay Hospital in Twillingate and later at the Grace General Hospital in St. John’s. It was there she met Frank. They moved to Fogo in 1964 where they started their family and grew their family business.

Ivy was a devoted wife and mother and always made sure there were delicious meals, fresh clothes off the line and warm hugs. While raising her family, Ivy spent countless hours ensuring the family business ran smoothly. More than anything Ivy loved being a grandmother. Her three grandchildren were her pride and joy and the center of her world. Ivy will be forever missed, loved and remembered by all who knew her.

The family would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff of the dialysis unit for the years of care and support provided to Ivy. As well, our deepest gratitude to the nursing staff on the third floor of JPMRH, who provided overwhelming support and comfort in our most trying days.
