It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Susie Elizabeth (Betty) Burt, on Sunday January 24, 2021 at the James Paton Memorial Health Care Centre.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 63 years Clyde, sons: Frank (Liska) Burt, Neil (Daphne) Burt; daughters: Evelyn Philpott, Linda (Jim) Pike; grandsons: Sean (Jill) Philpott, Elliott (Colette) Burt, Mark (Dana) Burt, Gregory Pike; granddaughters: Alyssa (Dylan) Lodge, Katie (Isaiah) Burt, Vanessa Pike; great grandchildren: Nevaeha, Roy, Abagayle; brother Fraser (Yvonne) Lush; sister-in-law Sylvia (Gerald) Burry, Stella Hancock and a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues.
She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Evelyn Lush; parents-in-law Alex and Amy Smith; brothers: Luke (Grace) Lush, Charlie (Minnie) Lush; sisters: Eloise (Gerry) Baird, Audrey (Vito) Vacca and sister-in-law Audrey Smith.
In keeping with Susie's wishes, cremation has taken place with visitation at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander on Wednesday January 27, 2021 between the hours of 1-4 p.m. In keeping with the government guidelines and the ongoing global Covid-19 pandemic we ask for your patience during visitation time. The funeral Service will be held on Thursday January, 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from Fraser Road United Church with interment to take place at a later date. Due to the ongoing global Covid-19 pandemic funeral service will be by registering with Fraser Road United Church. Live stream via the Fraser Road United Church Facebook Page (link to be announced) for those whom are unable to attend.
As expressions of sympathy donations in Susie's memory may be made to the Fraser Road United Church or a charity of one's choice.
