October 9, 1952 – April 4, 2021
Passed away at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Sunday April 4, 2021, David Carl Ralph of Gander/Burnside in his 68th year. Dave’s love for life and family was greater that life itself. He was born on Flat Island but at the age of 3 years moved to Burnside where he always considered home.
He suffered a life threatening illness 6 years ago. A miracle and self-determination brought him back to us. This time he fought to the end but it was God’s will to take him home. He went peacefully.
He leaves to mourn Ruth his wife and lifelong companion of 47 years; sons: Dustin (Andrea) and David; his grandchildren who were his pride and joy: Gordon David and Kayleigh Mae. His brothers: Frank (Carolyn), Gerald (Cathy); sisters-in-law: Millicent Oldford, Patricia Oldford (Albert), many nephews, nieces, close friends and acquaintances.
He was predeceased by his father and mother Lloyd Ralph & Maria Ralph Goulding; step father Willis Goulding; in laws: Howard & May Ralph.
Dave spent his work life in the printing business. He was a devoted family man and friend to all. Leisure time was spent in Burnside where he loved to just sit outside and relax or stay inside and cook a meal to share with family and friends.
Thank you to everyone for your love and support. It is impossible to personally thank everyone. Two people need special recognition, Brenda you were Dave’s lifeline and Tina you were Ruth’s. You both went above and beyond, thank you!
In keeping with Dave’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral service will take place at a later date in his beloved Burnside.
Til’ we meet again,
Keep skipping those rocks.
