Cavell and Raeanne, I am shocked and saddened for you guys and Rod's daughter and grandchild. Many many many hours were spent at your home over our pre-teen and teenage years playing cards, games, watching tv or chasing Kristopher around and never was there a mean word or a loud noise out of Rod, he just took it all in stride!! He and Ray would muck us around Butts Pond towing us in the sleigh. Christmas eve when myself and Kristopher (and Kev) would come over dressed up as Santa and his elf Rod's face would light up with a big smile as he loved to see Kristopher. Many hours were spent at the Youth Center playing cards, pool or just sitting around chatting and laughing. He and Glen spent many hours in the sound booth belting out our favourite tunes. Many memories were made over those years and Rod is in most of them. Rest in Peace Rod. Have a time at the cabin with your Dad. Rest easy old friend 🕊

Rod's passing is very very sad news indeed. Most unfortunately and very regretably, I didn't have the pleasure/honour of seeing him in a few years, but, Rod Foley was always a great person to bump have a chat, just relax around with and have a laugh ....simply for the fact that he was truly, a gentle, kind, respectful and tolerant Human Being...having absolutely ZERO hidden agendas. This crazy messed up world needs more Rod Foley's in it, not less of them. Having said that, I, Truly, believe the following: it's a well known and proven fact, that in physics, matter cannot be destroyed....thus, I believe that Souls, at some yet undefined sub-atomic level, are made up...composed of, matter. I believe, that positive Souls such as contained in True Human Beings like Rod Foley, are "out there", battling the negative and, even at this sad occasion, I think Rod would back me up on this old saying: "always look on the bright side of life"..

I was saddened to hear of Rod's passing and would like to extend my sincere heartfelt condolences to all of Rod's family. I knew Rod in simpler times and had the pleasure of being in his company on many occasions. I have fond memories of times at Glenn Fields cabin,Youth center days, and a few times at Sidetrax. Rod was so easy to be around.Very mild mannered, reserved, quiet gentleman. Go rest high on that mountain Rod. Jeff Butler and family.
