Iris Yvonne Warren
May 22nd, 1942 – May 8th, 2021
Passed away peacefully at James Paton Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 8th, 2021 at the age of 78.
Predeceased by her loving husband Jim, her mother Pearl Thorne, her adoptive parents Robert and Hazel Thorne, and her brother Berkley Smith.
Left to mourn with fond loving memories are her children: Carol Donahue (Sean) of Appleton, NL; Paulette Warren (Luis) of Hamilton, Ont; Debra MacDonald (Aaron) of Cornwall, PEI; Berkley Warren (Tammy) of Appleton, NL; nephews: Curtis Warren (Sonya) of Appleton NL, Bob Warren (Colleen) of Scarborough ON: and her very special niece Bonnie Warren of Glenwood, NL., who went above and beyond in all of the things she did for her. Also her grandchildren: Aaron and Jordan Collis , Bethany and Benjamin Bysma, Stacey and Joshua MacDonald, Kaylee and Megan Warren, Philip, Michaela, Mackenzie and Katie Warren: her stepson Wayne Francis (Lana) of Fort St. John, BC and his children Paton Francis and Colleen Baughman, her brother Walter Butler (June) of Clarenville, NL, and many more nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A very special thank you to her home care workers, Debbie and Bernice, for their amazing care. The family would also like to send a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, social workers and security staff of James Paton Memorial Hospital. Their care and kindness is greatly appreciated and will not soon be forgotten.
Resting at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander for visitation on Monday, May 10th from 1:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. Due to Covid 19 regulations, the Funeral service is limited to family and close friends. It will take place on Tuesday, May 11th at 1:00 P.M. at the Glenwood Town Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted to the Glenwood Heritage Society c/o Town of Glenwood.
