December 10, 1934 – June 14, 2021
It is with deep sadness that the family of Edna Barbara Gillingham announce her peaceful passing on June 14 2021 at the age of 86.
She is predeceased by her parents Elizah James Skeffington and Pheobe Jane Skeffington; sister Marjorie Marshal; brothers Rance, Gordon and Joseph Skeffington; her Parents in law Dolph Gillingham and Minnie Gillingham; sisters in law: Inez Francis, Edna Gillingham, Charlotte Gillingham, and Myra Skeffington; brothers in law: Eric Gillingham, Anderson Gillingham, Lewellyn Gillingham, Dalton Gillingham, Dominic Francis, and James Marshal.
Left to mourn her loving husband Clayton of 66 years; children: Gloria, Rance, Dolph, Andy (Michelle), and Dean; sisters in law: Jean Gillingham, Ann Gillingham, and Mildred Skeffington; grandchildren: Ashley (Oscar), Jonathan (Krystal), Jeremy (Maygen), Alexander James, Jean-Luc, and Villi (Cassidy); great grandchildren: Hunter, Jacob, Aubree, Layla, Lucas, and Warren.
She Came to Gander Bay in 1954 teaching with her childhood Friend Myrtle Skeffington, met Clayton and started their family. Mom was a selfless, caring and devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.
Our loss is immeasurable, as is the love she left behind.
Funeral Services will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Gander Bay at a later date due to the Pandemic.
