Surrounded by family, Michael Stephen O’Grady passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the age of 87 years.
Mike is predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Phyllis; parents: Ellen and Michael; brothers: Tom, Joe, Dennis; sisters: Philomena, Kate, Joan; mother and father in law: John and Sarah Saunders.
Leaving to mourn, daughters: Philomena (Paul), Tina (Gerald); sons: Mike (Jennifer), Tony (Barbara); sister-in-law: Emily O’Grady; grandchildren: Stephen (Brittany), Samantha (Ross), their mother Bessie O’Grady, and Ryan; great grandchildren: Morgan, Noah, Finnley, Liam, Emmett, CJ; and many other relatives and special friends.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Dr. Tony Gabriel and the staff of Lakeside Homes for the exceptional care and support he received while residing at Lakeside Homes.
As per Mike's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will be accepting friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a celebration of his life service to take place July 13th , 2pm at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Gander . Interment Common Wealth Cemetery TCH, Gander. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society NL.
