Obituary for Dale Hilda Weste
On Sunday, April 3rd, 2022, Dale Hilda Weste of Carmanville, NL, age 76, passed peacefully away at Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Centre, Botwood, NL. Dale lived most of her adult life in Gander, where she worked at both the Crossroads Restaurant and the Albatross Hotel. She returned to Carmanville after her retirement.
Dale always had a special passion in her heart for church and faithfully attended. She was an active member of the Salvation Army Home League, attending both the Gander & Carmanville Corps. For a number of years, she proudly beat the drums at the Salvation Army Church in Carmanville.
In her earlier days Dale volunteered countless hours at James Paton Memorial Hospital. She loved to help and to care for others. Always thinking of others, Dale was a beautiful, kind-hearted person with a pure soul. She could always be found wearing a smile and dedicating her time to lend a helping hand.
Dale is predeceased by her parents, Ralph & Melcie Weste. Dale will forever be missed by her brother Terry Weste (Bernice), niece Kelly Weste (great nephews, Westley & Liam Lundberg), aunt Alma Pennell, uncle Clarence West, cousin/caregiver Diane Eastman and a large circle of family and friends.
Dale is now at peace and will be forever in our hearts.
Visitation will take place on Friday May 13th,2022 at Salvation Army Citadel, Carmanville from 2pm to 4pm
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 14th ,2022 at 2pm.
Interment will follow at the United Church Cemetery in Carmanville.
