November 10, 1929 – April 15, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harrison Edward Downton announce his passing at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre on Friday April 15, 2022 at the age of 92 years.
He was predeceased by his wife Helen; parents Frederick & Gertrude; brothers: Arthur, Albert and sister Margaret.
He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memoires his daughter Heather (Fred Rowe); son Ed (Jocelyn); grandchildren: Paul (Christina), Michael (Rachel), Lori (Tyrone), Christopher (Aaron), Janet (Chuckie), Sara (Clay); great grandchildren: Joshua, Ava, Jon; brother Allister Downton; sister June Titford and also a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Family will be receiving friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home Gander on Monday April 18, 2022 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday April 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Martins Anglican Cathedral, Gander with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made in Harrison’s memory to the Central Northeast Health Foundation (Palliative Care).
