Obituary for Doreen Parsley
Doreen Parsley nee Piercey, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on April 29, 2022 at the age of 71. She was preceded by her husband of 36 years Edward Parsley, her parents Hedley and Elsie Piercey and Siblings Hedley Jr Piercey, Lena Sequeira, Ewart Piercey and Cassie Felthem.
Doreen was cherished by her two sons Eddie and Neal and her three grandchildren Logan, Morgan and Lexi with whom she adored and devoted her life. She prided herself on being a supportive and loving mother and nan. Ever there to listen and celebrate their successes.
Doreen was born in Hopeall and moved to Benton as a young child. She went to college and became an LPN, working most of her career in Gander at Lakeside homes. Doreen was an active volunteer; SPCA and the Goodwill. She was always involved in family and community events, loved to socialize and get involved in any way that helped others. She has a large circle of family and friends who will miss her tremendously.
We will miss Doreen’s presence at every family gathering. She had a gentle smile that would brighten your darkest day. She will be remembered for how she loved and supported others, a kind and open minded woman, who we will forever cherish in our thoughts and memories.
Family will be receiving friends at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander on Monday May 2nd, 2022 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. There will be a small family service at Stacey's Funeral Home on Tuesday May 3rd, 2022 officiated by Reverend Stephen Matthews with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
