Obituary for Allan Osmond

Allan Hubert Osmond
June 21, 1956 - April 29, 2022

Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love.
It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot.
All of that unspent love gathers in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in the hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.

- J. Anderson

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Allan Hubert Osmond, announce his passing after losing his 4th courageous battle with cancer.

He was surrounded by his family and passed away peacefully at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta on Friday, April 29th at the age of 65 years old.

Allan was the center of his family. A caring and devoted husband of 35 years to the love of his life Edwina. He embraced fatherhood with ease being a loving and dedicated father to his 2 daughters, Amy (Brad) and Shakira (Garrett). A proud pop to his pride and joys, Grace (Michael), Kate and Julie. And lastly his little pup, Kiko who misses her daily walk with her dad immensely.

He was a beloved son to the late James and Dora Osmond and predeceased by brothers, Fred, Winston, Arthur, Eli, Dorman, Don Osmond and sister Gladys MacIntyre.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his three brothers and five sisters, along with a large circle of relatives and countless friends.

Allan will be remembered as a family man who held his family and friends close to his heart. He was the type of man who was kind to everyone he met, loved making friends and obtained great pride in helping others.

He was humorous and witty and it came easily to him making those in his presence smile. Always hard working, yet strong willed. He chose to live life to the fullest and always looked forward to their annual trip to Punta Cana and Kelowna alongside his wife Edwina.

Allan will forever be loved and sadly missed especially his smile by those who knew him. He lives on now in our hearts and our precious memories forever.
