John Benjamin
February 1, 1984 – May 19, 2022
It is with great sadness that we the family of the late John Benjamin Parsons announce his passing after a long courageous battle with cancer at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Thursday May 19th, 2022 at the age of 38 years.
He was predeceased by his grandparents: Baxter & Violet Parsons, Tom & Fannie Keats; uncles: John Parsons, Jethro Keats, Richard Keats; aunts: Rosalind Reader, Louise Keats, Eleanor Louise Keats and great uncle Robert Parsons.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his parents Pansy Parsons & Ralph Keats; brother Shane Keats (Sarah); niece Olivia Keats; nephew Evan Keats; uncle Dave Parsons & family; aunts: Dulcie (Eric) Davis & family; Margaret (Tim) Kessler; great aunt Dorothy Hodder; special friend/caregiver Kim Blundell; also his Air Canada Jazz work family, the Avion Players, Nick Mercer his partner for 15 years and many other relatives, cousins and friends.
In keeping with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Funeral service will take place on Tuesday May24th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from Faith United Church, Glovertown. Please note that attendance of the funeral service, masks will be required to be worn.
As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations in John’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Faith United Church, Glovertown.
