August 21, 1930 – June 21, 2022
Surrounded by family, Evelyn Crocker passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes on Tuesday June 21st, 2022 at the age of 91.
Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Gordon Crocker, parents George & Emily Vaters of Swift Current; brothers: Walt, Mark, Jim & sister Gladys; her daughter-in-law Madeline Crocker & son-in-law Dennis Simms.
Leaving to mourn are her children: Calvin, Vera, Maxine (Conn), Gordon (Peg), Dennis (Andrea), Nancy (Randy); her many grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren.
Also her brothers: Henry (Betty), Eugene (Ruth), Joe (Marie), Bill (Sheila); sister Mary & many nieces & nephews.
Evelyn was born August 21st, 1930 to George & Emily Vaters in Swift Current, NL. She married her love Gordon Crocker on December 14th, 1950 & raised their 6 children in Appleton, NL. Together they provided a home that always welcomed more. Evelyn was always happier when her family & friends were around her.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Nightingale Manor & Lakeside Homes for their care & support for our Mom. A very special thank you to her friend Hayward Gillingham for always being there for her.
Mom is now at peace and forever in our hearts.
Family will be receiving friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander on Thursday June 23, 2022 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Friday June 24, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside Pentecostal Church, Glenwood officiated by Pastor Hynes with interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Glenwood.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers are greatly appreciated or a donation in Evelyn’s memory may be made to the Gander SPCA.
