November 17th, 1949 – August 8th, 2022
Death is brutal and relentless, and on Monday August 8th, 2022 after a short illness, death took William (Bill) Bursey from us at the age of 72.
Bill was predeceased by his parents; infant brother John and brother Edward.
He leaves to mourn, with loving memories, his partner Bev; son Michael and grandson Liam; son mark (Jennifer) and granddaughter Payton; step children Paula (Sheldon) and grandsons: Oliver and Everett; Tim (Brianne) and granddaughter Gracie; brothers: Albert, Keith, Tom and Greg; sisters: Lorraine, jenny, Margaret, Kathy and Anita- all with whom he kept in close contact; as well as sister-in-law Glenda and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family will be receiving friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander on Monday August 15th, 2022 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m... Bring along your happy memories of Bill. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday August 16th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. A reception will take place at the McCarthy Centre following the graveside service. Masks are strongly recommended.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Daffodil Place, 70 Ropewalk Lane, St. John’s, NL A1E 5T2 or to a charity of one’s choice.
