Obituary for Lester Blake

Passed away suddenly at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Wednesday, August 10th, 2022, Lester Blake, age 63

Predeceased by his parents Wallace and Ivy Blake, daughter Vera - Lynn Blake, brother Frank Blake and mother -in-law Audrey McPhee.

Leaving to remember with love are his wife Anna, sons Wallace (Kayleigh) Blake, Vincent (Susan) Blake, step -daughters Anna McPhee (Allen), Kimberly McPhee , grandchildren Abigail, Hillary, Megan, Mattea, Christopher, Prudence, Alyssa, Andrew and Van. Brothers Hubert (Daisy) Blake, Cyril (Frances) Blake, Gerald (Pansy) Blake, Howard (Carrie) Blake, Elvis (Faith) Blake and Curtis Blake. Sisters Mary (Harold) Ginn, Doris (Robert) Harbin, Valerie (Ron) Blake, sister’s-in-law Maxine Blake, Michelle (Derrick), Cathy, brother’s-n-law Leroy, John (Lynn), Malcolm (Shana) and his best friend since childhood, Ross Hodder as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Lester worked many years at Cooper Standard until he decided to move home and work in Fort McMurray on turn arounds, finally able to retire over the past year.

Family will be accepting friends at the Gospel Hall, Main Point on Saturday, August 13th from 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. Funeral service will take place on Sunday, August 14th at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at the Gospel Hall Cemetery.

Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Lester’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
