Howard Donald
October 25, 1936 – August 19, 2022
Passed peacefully away in his wife’s arms on Friday August 19, 2022 at the Gander Bay Retirement Home at the age of 85 years, Howard Donald Bartlett.
He was predeceased by his parents Harry & Dorothy Bartlett; mother & father in law Gordon & Mary Harris; brother Gordon and sister in law Marjorie.
Left with lasting memories his wife Mary (nee Harris); son David; daughter Ruth; son in law Graham Tweedie; grandchildren: Iain & Erin Tweedie who he loved unconditionally and were the pride and joy of his life; sister in law Daphne & family as well as a small circle of friends.
A special thanks of the staff of the Gander Bay Retirement who became family to both he and Mary, and who’s care and compassion have been immeasurable and will never be forgotten.
In keeping with Howard’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
The family will be receiving friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander on Monday August 22, 2022 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Tuesday August 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Reverend Jim Beaton with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donation in Howard’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
“Good byes are not forever and are not the end it simply means we will miss you until we meet again.”
