February 3rd, 1934 – January 9th, 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cator Freeman Brown announce his passing at Lakeside, Homes, Gander On Monday January 9th, 2023 at the age of 88 years.
He was predeceased by his wife Jean Ivy Brown (nee Roberts); parents Cyril Brown & Lucy Brown; parents-in-law Harvey Roberts & Bessie Roberts (nee Randell) and brother-in-law Hubert Roberts.
He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his 2 sons: Lorne (Terry) Brown of Halifax, Tony (Theresa) Brown of Fort McMurray, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sister Louise (Jim) Cooke of Ontario; Art (Eleanor) Brown of Corner Brook; sisters-in-law: Louise (Herbert) Barnes of Twillingate, Betty (Clarence) Watkins of Gander, Donna (Bruce) Clarke of Ontario; brothers-in-law: Albert (Lorraine) Roberts of Twillingate, Laurie (Anne) Roberts of Ontario and a large number of nieces, nephews other relatives and a friends.
In keeping with Cator's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander on Wednesday January 11, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. with inurnment on Thursday, January 12th at 2:00 P.M. at All Saints Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations in Cator’s memory may be made to the Fraser Road United Church.
