August 18th, 1969 – February 6th, 2023
It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband and father, Keith Merlin Mills on Monday February 6th, 2023 at the age of 53 years.
Keith was predeceased by his parents, Merlin and Shirley Mills and father-in-law Gerald Smith.
Keith is leaving to mourn his loving wife, Michelle and two beautiful daughters: Jane & Sara; brothers: Jeff (Lisa) of Calgary, John (Jody) of Portland; sister June (Paul) of Fort St. John; mother-in-law Louise Smith of Gander; brother-in-law Darren (Karin) of St. John’s; nephews: Jason, David, Jaric and Noah; nieces: Victoria and Miranda; aunts: Myra (Keith), Rowena and June; uncle Archie and numerous cousins and family members.
Keith came to Gander to begin his career in 1991 where he continued to work for over 30 years. During this time he made many friends who became part of his family. He was a lover of life and with a passion for the outdoors, be it snowmobiling, on water craft, hiking, hunting or spending time at his new cabin with his family and friends. He loved the kitchen to entertain with fine foods and he also had a wonderful love for music.
Family will be accepting friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home, 60 Roe Avenue, Gander on Wednesday February 8th, 2023 from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday February 9th, 2023 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place from Fraser Road United Church, 1 Brochen Street, Gander on Friday February 10th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Reverend Stephen Matthews with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Gander.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Keith’s memory may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation, The Gander & Area Food Bank or The Gander & Area S.P.C.A.
