Obituary for Jacqueline Clara "Jack" Goodyear

"Grandmas are Angels without wings"

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandma, Jacqueline (Jackie) Goodyear, on February 14, 2023, of Carmanville, NL.
Jackie was predeceased by her parents Alphonsus & Olive Fahey; infant daughter Tracy; infant niece Olive Joyce Bath; nephew Draper Fahey; brothers-in-law Andrew Higgins & Raymond Pinsent; sister-in-law Olive Collins; father/mother-in-law Beaton & Sarah Goodyear.

Jackie was born in Glenwood, NL. She moved to Carmanville where she married and raised her two daughters. Her greatest joy in life were her 3 grandchildren with whom she made everlasting memories. She enjoyed spending time at the cabin, snowmobiling, quilting, berrypicking, playing cards/games with her friends and family and most recently collecting seaglass. Jackie was a ‘Jack-of-all-trades’ and was always there to give a lending hand at anything, anytime. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Feeling her loss and left to mourn are her husband of 51 years Willie Goodyear; daughters: Leona (Baxter) Russell of Carmanville, NL, Rhonda (Stephen) Fancey of Leduc, AB; grandchildren; Aaron Russell, Cole Fancey, Claire Fancey; sisters: Monica Higgins, Gloria Pinsent, Mildred (Walter) Hodder, Eileen (Donald) Chaulk, Phyllis (Ross) Weste; brothers: Ronald (Effie) Fahey, Alphonsus (Judy) Fahey; sister-in-laws: Kay (Cyril) Tulk, Marcy (Alvin) Tulk, Dianne (Marvin) Hodder, Della (Calvin) Burton; brothers-in-law: Obediah Collins, Colin (Elizabeth) Goodyear, Rodney Goodyear and also many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Four Winds Lounge, Carmanville, NL on Wednesday, February 22, starting at 5:00 pm. All are welcome!
