Obituary for Marie Hunter
E.C. Marie Hunter 1928-2023, age 94 years
Passed away suddenly but peacefully at JPM Hospital, Gander. Predeceased by husband Theo, parents William and Lizzie Mary Brown, sister Kathleen Hunter, brother Jack Brown and his wife Martha.
Leaving to mourn daughter Bonnie (Wayne) Hewitt, granddaughters Kristy (Martin), Terri Lynn (Jimmy), and Natasha (Kenny), great grandchildren Christopher, Jacob, Laiya, Sophia, Allie, Ainsleigh and Hunter; brother-in-law Gerald Hunter as well as many nieces and nephews.
Nan lived a very long and healthy life, staying in the home she shared with Mom & Dad right up to the end. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and playing cards. If there was ever anything you needed made she had it done before you could ask. She became a traveler in her later years and made many visits to Halifax, Quebec and as far as Nunavut to visit her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves us with many fond memories, especially those of a spic and span house…cause you never know who might drop in!
Visitation will take place at Stacey’s Funeral Home, 60 Roe Avenue, Gander on Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9. p.m.
Funeral service to be held at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Salvage on Thursday March 2nd, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., with interment to follow a St. Stephens Anglican Cemetery, Salvage.
