Obituary for James Maxwell Badcock

James Maxwell Badcock

Passed peacefully away on March 17, 2023; a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and brother-in-law. Left to cherish and celebrate his life are his wife, Marie; his children, Jeff (Heather), Sherrie, and John Michael; his beloved grandchildren, Liam Fortier, Brodie Badcock-Parks, Aidan Badcock-Parks, Ryan Fortier, Parker Badcock, Paige Badcock, and precious twins, Lily and Brennan Goodfellow; his dear sister Alanna (John); many special nieces and nephews and numerous loving cousins.

Along with the unconditional love for his family, Jim also loved his 35 year career as an Air Traffic Controller and everything aviation. He enjoyed countless happy hours with his flight simulator, and one of his happy places was enjoying a morning coffee sitting up by the airport whether planes were there or not. Another happy place included being in the driveway washing his car (or any other car that may have pulled in the driveway) to a standard only held by operating room theatres. And you could always count on him being in front of the TV with raisin sultana cake and a glass of milk, cheering on any Team Canada or Montreal Canadiens hockey game.

We will love him forever and miss him dearly.

In keeping with James' wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be an informal visitation at Stacey’s Funeral Home, 60 Roe Avenue, Gander, on Tuesday, March 21st, 2023, from 1-4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Parish, Gander.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander/Carmanville, and to leave a message of condolence please visit our website at www.staceysfuneralhome.ca.
