Obituary for Boyce Cull

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Boyce Bernard Cull. Boyce passed away peacefully at home, in Gander NL, on March 26, 2023 with his family at his side. He lost his 4 ½ year battle with Cancer at the young age of 78.

Boyce is predeceased by his parents, Henry and Hurslett Cull and sisters Hilda Biles, Muriel Patey and Rosalind Reardon.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife Lorna of 55 years and wonderful children - daughter Sandra (Scott) and son Daryl (Stephanie); Precious grandsons Benjamin, Stephen and Noah; Siblings Carl Cull (Margaret), Don Cull (Cheryl) and Pansy Payne (Brett).

Boyce was born on December 31, 1944 in St. Anthony Bight and moved to St. Anthony in 1956. After graduating from high school, he joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served for over 11 years. He spent the rest of his career (29 years) with Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro and retired in 2006 from Churchill Falls, Labrador.

After retirement, he enjoyed gardening, walking, curling and was a loyal fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs.

The simplest pleasures in life brought him great joy, especially visits with his family.
Boyce had a quiet strength and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Special Thank-you to the Central Health Palliative Care Staff for their outstanding support and care during this difficult time.

In keeping with Boyce’s wishes, there will be no service and cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted through Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander.
