Obituary for Shane Maxwell Holloway

Shane Maxwell Holloway
Friday August 4th, 1989 – Saturday April 15th, 2023

The family of Shane Holloway is heartbroken and devastated by his sudden passing on April 15th, 2023.

Shane is survived by Megan Harris, his loving partner, best friend and soulmate since their high school years and their silly cat Godric, “Dad’s boy”.

Mourning him also are his kind and devoted Nan and Pop, Lloyd and Shirley Easton, his very special uncle, Robert Easton, his dedicated father Michael Easton, and his half-brother Alexander Osbourne. They were all so very proud of him.

Shane also leaves behind his mother Elizabeth Raynard, her husband Brian Raynard, and their children (James, Bruce and Annie).

Megan’s parents, Doug and Bonnie Harris, sisters Ashley (Jason), Jaimee (Evan) and nephew Charlie are also deeply grieving the loss of the gentle and kind soul who helped Megan to be the best version of herself that she is today.

Shane had a multitude of friends in Gander and throughout the province, as well as his colleagues on his various sailing vessels. When crew change day was near, he would always say “I have to get back to work to cook something special for my boys”. They have reached out from all over the world to offer their heartfelt condolences.

Shane had a smile and an infectious giggle that lit up the room and warmed the hearts of those within. He will be forever remembered, missed, and deeply loved.

Visitation will take place at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander on Friday April 21st from 6pm – 9pm.

Flowers are gratefully accepted of a donation may be made to the Gander and Area SPCA.
