Obituary for Gregory Joseph Kelly

August 9th, 1941 – April 19th, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gregory Joseph Kelly at the James Paton Memorial Hospital on Wednesday April 19th, 2023.
Gregory is predeceased by his mother Martha Kelly, father Joseph Kelly, sister Agnes Pynn, brother Raymond Kelly, brothers-in-law: Harry Pynn, Thomas Broderick, Wilfred Warren and nephews: Darin Broderick and Adam Kelly.
Left to mourn with loving memories are his sisters Philomena Broderick and family, Rita Warren and family, and also left to mourn are his extended family at Riverview Retirement Home in Gander Bay.
The family will be accepting friends at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Glenwood on Monday April 24th, 2023 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Tuesday April 25th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
Flowers are graciously accepted as anyone who knew Greg, also knew his love for the outdoors. A donation can also be made to The Gander and Area S.P.C.A in his memory as his love for animals surpassed all.
Gregory’s love for gardening and animals were his passion. He grew his own vegetables and he always made sure everyone had the opportunity to have a pet or a fresh egg of breakfast… at a cost, of course. His life was a series of ups and downs for many years but his love for his family and from his family always pulled him through. Some may say they saw his at his worst and others may say they saw him at his best. But the one thing for sure is we can all say his life was a complete 360. The past 16 years in a personal care home helped him to overcome many obstacles and to turn his life completely around. He loved, laughed and enjoyed life in a way we as a family thought we’d never see and for that we are so grateful. It brings us comfort to know that his is now in the arms of an angel, his mother.
