Obituary for Allister Collings

Leaving us with many wonderful memories, we sadly announce the peaceful passing of a wonderful supportive husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

Predeceased by his Mother Myrtle Collings and Father Eldon Collings.

Left to celebrate his life are his loving wife Amy of 59 years and his children Glenn (Rhonda), Dwayne (Jana), Deanne (Sean) Paul (Jo-Ann) and precious grandchildren Chelsea (Alex), Charles (Sara), James (Vicki), Cameron, Brandi, Matthew and great-grandchildren Rowan, Declan and Thomas.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, sister-in-laws and their husbands; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends as well as his church family.

We will never forget his enjoyment for life and his love of fishing, hunting, farming, cooking and baking. He greeted everyone with a smile and welcomed anyone into his home. He always had a great story or joke to tell and loved having his family and friends around him.

A special thanks to the staff at James Paton Memorial Hospital for their care, support and compassion.

Visitation will be held at Stacey’s Funeral Home on Thursday, May 4 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral to be held at the Salvation Army Citadel Gander on Friday, May 5 at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Central Northeast Health Foundation Cancer Center.

Arrangements entrusted through Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander/Carmanville.
