Marion Clara Maude Kirby
Dec. 10, 1935 – May 14, 2023
We announce the passing of a beautiful, loving, caring person who as a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a dear friend who made everyone feel blessed.
Predeceased by: Father, Garland Kirby; Mother, Clara Kirby (Green); Brother Franklin Kirby (infant); Sisters-in-law Marian (John) and Flora (Peter).
Left to celebrate her life are her daughter Cheryl; Sisters: Gwen Tucker (Wayne), Gander; Carolyn Ralph (Frank), Burnside; Brothers: John Kirby, Clarenville; Peter Kirby, Badger; Terry (Mona) Kirby, Badger; Grand children: Adam (Lisa) Chipman-Penton and Kendra Penton.
Maude’s career was dedicated to retail services (Shoppers’ Drug) where she made many long-lasting friends. Her greatest gift was giving of herself and never expecting anything in return, a life-long endeavour.
A special thanks to the staff at Golden Years Estate and James Paton Memorial Hospital for their care, support, and compassion.
Visitation will be held at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander on Sunday, May 21st from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Service will be held at St. Martin’s Anglican Cathedral, Gander on Monday, May 22nd 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Badger Cemetery 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Northeast Health Foundation Cancer Center or Arthritis Society.
